either pay VAT and apply for a refund the following year
or only pay 3% Property Transfer tax (ITP). Gross yields
range from 3% to 4% excluding any private arrangements
during personal use period which could boost the yields to
6%-8%.

La
Manga del Mar Menor is a tourist area with local tourists
during Easter and summer and northern European tourists
during the off peak season. The area is served by San
Javier airport and Alicante airport but a new
international airport at Corvera is due to open in 2012.
Paramount have also announced a Theme Park next to Corvera
Airport scheduled to open in 2015 and is expected to draw
upwards of 3 million visitors to the region each year with
the creation of film studios, casinos, a water park, bars,
clubs, restaurants and shopping arcades, etc. A high speed
train link from Madrid, to Cartagena close to La Manga
Club, passing through Corvera airport and close to
Paramount Theme Park is also projected.
