West Crete, Agia Triada is a small hillside village located 11km from Rethymno town centre and 5km from the nearest sandy beach. East Crete, Sitia In our opinion this area will become popular over the next few years. In may 2005 Sitias new airport started bringing tourists and homebuyers to the area in May 2005. East Crete property prices are presently 30% to 50% cheaper than those in Western Crete. The town of Sitia has a wonderful harbor front, beach and port with regular Ferryboats to and from Piraeus.

In Sitia one doesn't have to go far to discover the untouched Crete - just a few miles off the main road into the hills and mountains and you will find a Crete that few tourists take the time to visit. South East Crete, Makris Yialos once just a small fishing village is now a busy tourist resort with many shops, tavernas, bars and supermarkets.
